The Bhut Jolokia Chilli - Ghost Pepper (Ghost Chilli or poison pepper in Assamese due to its heat) has its origins in the North-Eastern Assam and Manipur regions of India. As it's name suggests, it's extremely hot. In 2007 it was certified the worlds hottest chilli, at over 400 times hotter than a tabasco chilli pepper. A record since broken, it rates up-to 1.1million Scoville Heat Units (SHU) and is firmly in the top-ten worlds hottest chillies.

Hot but not scorching hot, the kind of sauce i will happily eat with a spoon, because the flavour is deep and satisfying (yes the reaper sauce). so excited to try the other 8 sauces i ordered.
